Youth Cross Country
CORK Youth XC is a developmental program. Geared towards preparing kids to compete in the USATF Junior Olympic Cross Country series, this program teaches the basics of running. Practices are built around actual workouts, but with a hefty amount of fun included. Teamwork, sportsmanship, form, and nutrition are all addressed. Practices start late October.
If you are signing up 1 child, keep “Children” at 1 and “Quantity” at 1,
If you are signing up 2 children, select “2 Children” and keep “Quantity” at 1.
If you are signing up 3 children, select “3 Children” and keep “Quantity” at 1.
Practices: With the revised middle school schedules this year practice times need to be adjusted to start later but this creates issues with enough daylight after daylight savings. We have created a schedule that we hope will work for most of you with later start times, a day at Farewell Bend Park with lit pathways, and an early start day on Wednesday since everyone has early release that day. I know that this is going to create special logistical challenges for some of you as well but we feel like this is the best solution with the later middle school release times.
