Littlefoot Registration

$30.00

Geared toward our youngest runners, kindergarten through fifth grade, Littlefoot focuses on fun. This six-week program happens twice a year—spring (April–May) and fall (September–October). Sessions include games, relay races, and activities designed to help kids build confidence and a love for running. Running is simply the backdrop—kids stay active and have fun without even realizing they’re “training.”

Practice Expectations

Parents or guardians must sign their child in at each practice and remain available during the session.

Participants must bring their own water bottle (no sharing).

Littlefoot is a volunteer-led program. Coaches lead activities for the group but cannot provide one-on-one supervision.

Littlefoot is not a drop-off childcare program. Parents or guardians should remain nearby and be available if their child needs support during activities.

Some games involve excitement and friendly competition, which can bring up big emotions for young runners. If a child has difficulty participating safely or respectfully, coaches may ask a parent to step in and help their child rejoin the group.

If concerns continue across multiple sessions, a parent may be asked to remain present during practices. In some cases, a child may need to leave a session with their parent so the group can continue safely and positively for everyone.

Participation Expectations

To help keep the program fun and safe for all runners, we follow a three-strike guideline. If a child is asked to sit out due to unsafe or disruptive behavior three separate times, they may be asked not to return for the remainder of the season.

Our goal is always to support children in rejoining the group successfully while maintaining a positive environment for everyone.

Weather & Safety

Practices may be cancelled due to unsafe conditions such as:

• Air Quality Index above 100
• Extreme heat, cold, or storms
• Unsafe terrain (ice, snow, flooding)

Families will receive an email by noon if a practice is cancelled.

Kindergarten Requirement

Children must already be enrolled in kindergarten to participate. This helps ensure the program remains safe and manageable for our volunteer coaches.
