Saturdays--
OPTION 1: Currently (and this will remain) the group meets at Drake Park - then drives to a location they choose to run. This is super fun because you can check out someplace you might never go on your own, or learn about places to run if you are new in town.  Running the river trail south of town which is off the chart beautiful!; maybe at Smith Rocks, the Badlands east of town, Phils trail, or up near Tumalo falls...  since these locations are not urbane in nature, it is always recommended to bring water and to prepare for Central Oregon's ever changing weather.

The distance on these runs vary from 6 - 20 miles.  Not to worry no one is going to drag you on a 20 miler- just letting you know that there will be options of distances for everyone. Some go longer, some go shorter.  Whatever the case we will make sure no one gets lost! : )

OPTION 2:  This is new!    The social six pack.   Still meeting at Drake Park at 8:00 A.M. with the others for meet and greet until 8:10, this other option will be a run that leaves directly from Drake Park.  Since this is new, it will evolve as we go, but initially we will run from Drake Park through the west side to the Les Schwab Amphitheatre area and head to the river trail at Farewell Bend and back. IF you have not done this little trail section you will be pleasantly surprised to run on something so pretty so close to town!

This run is about 6 - 6 1/2 miles.  If this is too long for some, you can cut back sooner. If you are new to the area and are still getting lost at the roundabouts - someone will go with you!

One thing to note the social six pack is NOT a speed workout, we are not training, this is just a relaxed pace fun social, hi how ya doing, stick together run, no pressure. Great for people that don't have the time to drive to a run location, for people with baby joggers, for people that want to eat after the run! Because post run, those that choose will check out some local haunt for coffee and maybe a muffin.  Hey we did just run!

There undoubtedly will be different paces, but we are trying to cultivate running as a group - so rabbits, you can run ahead but come back to the group!  This is a great way to start your day and a better way to get to know people of different paces.

Directions to Drake Park:  Off Highway 97 (3rd Street) turn west on Franklin, go through downtown, the road will curve past Drake Park.  After the 1st curve, there will be a group of runners parked.
